Korean dramas and films have a unique way of storytelling that just pulls you in. It’ll have you laughing, crying, and sometimes screaming at the screen. Over the years, I’ve noticed certain patterns, quirks, and clichés. aka TROPES. These tropes have become staples in Korean storytelling. Some are over the top romantic, some problematic, and some are just plain ol ridiculous. But that's what makes them iconic! Here’s a list of them (in no particular order) and where to watch them.

Romantic Tropes

If a North Korean is in a Kdrama or Kfilm, just know they're either a spy or working with the government.
